DESCRIPTION:This exhibition celebrates the creativity, individuality and achievements of the young people who have taken part in the Destinations Course. Designed for care-experienced young people who are currently not in education, employment, or training, the programme helps participants build confidence, develop practical skills, and gain recognised qualifications. Alongside work experience, volunteering opportunities, and food safety and first aid training, the course also focuses on well-being, independence, and preparing for future education, employment, and training.\nCommissioned by Culture Warrington and working with artist Sarah Harris, each young person transformed a piece of furniture into a personal artwork inspired by the people, places and passions that matter most to them. Through colour, pattern and storytelling, every piece reflects a unique identity and demonstrates the creativity, resilience and potential of its maker.\nTogether, these works invite us to look beyond the furniture itself and celebrate the stories, talents and ambitions of the young people who created them.\nImage via Warrington Museum\n
