Five Things to do in Warrington This Summer

This summer, Warrington is bursting with activities and events for all ages to enjoy. If you’re after outdoor fun, cultural experiences, or family-friendly entertainment, there’s plenty happening across the town to keep your days filled with excitement and discovery.

Here are the highlights to look forward to:

  • The Victoria Park Experience (VPX)

    Every Wednesday in August, Warrington comes alive with free family fun from 11am to 4pm. Starting August 6th at Bank Park for National Play Day, VPX moves to Market Gate and Time Square on the 13th, returns to Victoria Park on the 20th, and wraps up at Warrington Youth Zone on the 27th.     • Summer in Time Square

    Every Thursday in August from 11am to 4pm, Time Square comes alive with free, family-friendly activities, from traditional rides and face painting to thrilling bike stunt shows, sports sessions, and crazy golf. Drop in anytime to join the fun, stay active, and make the most of the summer holidays in the heart of Warrington. It’s guaranteed to stop any child saying “I’m bored” this school break.     • Warrington Mela 2025

    The leading outdoor multicultural festival returns on Sunday, August 31st, with a day full of free street theatre, dance, music, food, and colourful cultural celebrations. This year’s theme, Home, will be explored through performances and creative workshops across Palmyra Square and Time Square, featuring giant puppets draped in sari fabric. Join the community to experience stories of belonging and connection in this beautiful, lively celebration. More information can be found here.

    • Warrington Youth Zone

    All throughout the year, Warrington Youth Zone hosts sessions for junior and senior members. Children can stay active and learn new skills with more than twenty activities happening every day. From film & multi-media to indoor rock-climbing young people can experience a healthy and happy summer.

    • Summer’s Bouncing at Golden Square

    Inflatable fun is returning to Old Market Square this summer from Saturday, July 26th to Sunday, August 31st. It will be open daily from 10am – 5pm to keep the kids busy as they jump and giggle through the school holidays. The bouncy setup is a different way to keep the kids occupied in Warrington during their long break.
