Businesses across Warrington town centre are being urged to register for free rapid lateral flow testing as part of a local roadmap to lifting restrictions and reopening the high street safely.
Warrington Borough Council has announced that businesses of all sizes that are registered with Companies House, including those with fewer than 50 employees, can register to order free lateral flow tests (LFTs) for their employees.
Warrington BID Manager, Nick White is encouraging businesses from all sectors including shops, offices and hospitality venues to get involved.
Nick explains, ‘Testing takes only a few minutes to complete and in less than half an hour, a result is given meaning positive cases can isolate immediately. This will help to stop the spread of the virus by breaking chains of transmission for both staff and customers.’
‘Alongside this advice, the BID has been working with Warrington Borough Council to refresh and reinstall safety signage across the whole of the town centre, reminding everyone of the basics of keeping socially distanced, wearing a face covering and washing hands.’
Businesses have until 31 March to register for the government’s workplace testing scheme, which will remain free until the end of June. More details here.
