With so much choice right on our doorstep, what’s your Town Centre favourite?
To help, we’ve pulled together this list of just some of the amazing places in Warrington to tickle your tastebuds and energise your ears…
For a grand night out, enjoy your cocktails contemporary or classic at The Grand on Bridge Street while you listen to the tinkle of the ivories and the gentle lull of a guitar. Prefer something more upbeat? Check out the Hideout on Sankey Street for a bit of Disco Inferno or familiar jams to dance the night away.
If Italian is your thing, give Caff’e Caruso a ring as their wide variety of authentic snacks, lunches, pizzas and pastas have been delighting Warrington diners for many years. Just around the corner you’ll find Dorado Lounge, serving sandwiches and burgers, salads and sides, there’s everything from tasty tapas, fabulous flatbreads and everything in between to treat your tastebuds.
Palmyra Square and the surrounding streets in the heart of the Cultural Quarter also caters for a variety of tastes:
- A warm welcome of wine and tapas awaits at the Spanish Las Ramblas in the old Treasury Building on Palmyra Square – padron peppers or chorizo lollipops all round!
- The Grill on the Square offers steaks from well done to rare – who remembers when this was the old Post Office (we used to take the franking bags there at the end of every working day – ask your mum!).
- Dim sum is yum yum at Mr Lau’s on Springfield Street, did you know they’ve been nominated as one of the best restaurants in England in the Golden Chopsticks Awards?
- Will you prefer pizza and prosecco at San Lorenzo or cicchetti at Charlie’s Bar? With its retractable roof and romantic open fire pit, we love the holiday vibes from Charlie’s Bar, both residing in the old Treasury building.
A short stroll away on Bold Street is Bold Street House with a menu that includes everything from bar bites to burgers, plus their amazing coffees or cocktails – and don’t forget their Sunday Lunch! Or will you hop along for hops and live music in Hop Co – their open mic or live bands at Sunday Club is a firm fave in the ‘We Are Warrington’ offices. And whilst we’re on Bold Street, can we all just take a moment to appreciate the cuisine at Brothers Burgers too……take a bow Brothers!
There’s so much on offer in Warrington; we hope you’ve enjoyed this flavour of where you can dance, drink and dine!
