Warrington has always been a town that thrives on community spirit, and the recent events hosted by Warrington BID and partners across the Town Centre have truly encapsulated this in abundance.
From the dazzling displays of Pride to the adrenaline-pumping Krazy Races, our town has been alive with activity, bringing residents and visitors of all ages together.
This year’s Pride event in Warrington was nothing short of spectacular. The streets were awash with colour as the LGBTQ+ community and allies came together to celebrate love, acceptance and diversity. With a parade that featured groups from all over, fabulous costumes and infectious energy, Pride was a testament to Warrington’s commitment to inclusivity.
Attendees enjoyed a variety of performances from local artists, musicians and dancers, creating a lively atmosphere that resonated with people not just from the town, but from all over the North West. The event not only provided entertainment but also offered educational resources and support for the LGBTQ+ community, reinforcing the message that Warrington is a town where everyone is welcome and valued.
Hot on the heels of Pride, Krazy Races brought a different kind of excitement to Warrington.
This unique event saw spectators turn out in their thousands to watch teams racing homemade soapbox cars around the town, navigating twists, turns and obstacles in a bid for glory. The creativity and ingenuity on display were truly remarkable, with participants transforming everyday materials into whimsical racing machines.
Spectators lined Bridge Street and packed out the viewing area at Time Square, cheering on the racers and enjoying the spectacle, as part of the event, which provided a perfect mix of competition, fun and a real sense of camaraderie among participants and attendees alike.
As we continue to be extremely proud of the success of these recent events, Warrington BID and partners across the Town Centre are already gearing up for the next big event: the Warrington Arts Festival.
Set to take place next month, between July 19th to 27th, this festival promises to be a grand showcase of local talent and creativity.
The Warrington Arts Festival will feature a diverse array of performances, exhibitions, and workshops, offering something for everyone. From visual arts and crafts to music and theatre, the festival will provide a platform for artists to share their work with the community. Attendees can look forward to interactive installations, live demonstrations and opportunities to participate in hands-on activities.
This year’s festival will provide a space for dialogue, inspiration and collaboration, further cementing Warrington’s reputation as a hub of creativity and culture.
Warrington BID remains dedicated to working with partners across our town bringing more such events to life, ensuring that Warrington remains a place where community spirit thrives and everyone feels a part of something special.
