As Halloween approaches, Warrington town centre is getting ready for an exciting half-term packed with family-friendly frights and eerie fun.
Local businesses, venues and organisations are joining forces to create a festive atmosphere, ensuring that there’s something for everyone to enjoy. With the support of Warrington BID, this year’s celebrations promise a variety of events that will fill the town with Halloween spirit.
The festivities kick off with Cineworld Warrington’s Horror Season, running from October 4th to 31st. Film fans can catch Halloween classics for just £5 per ticket, with spine-chilling titles like A Nightmare on Elm Street on Friday, October 25th, and Saw on Halloween night, October 31st.
On Wednesday, October 23rd, Time Square will come alive with creepy creatures as the Go Wild Halloween Camp returns to Warrington Market. From 10 am to 3 pm, families can meet a selection of unusual animals and enjoy the Spookysaurus Party walkabout in the square, adding a prehistoric twist to the Halloween festivities.
The excitement continues on Thursday, October 24th, with a Family Halloween Party featuring a Looby Lou bingo session, musical performances from the Hocus Pocus tribute act, The Sanderson Sisters, and free face painting in the square. It’s a perfect way for families to celebrate together.
On Friday, October 25th, Time Square will host a pumpkin carving workshop where kids and adults alike can unleash their creativity. Louie’s Pizza will also join in on the fun with a special pumpkin carving session on Monday, October 28th, at 4:30 pm, including a kid’s meal deal for just £10.
Warrington Youth Zone is also participating in the Halloween festivities, hosting a dance fitness evening of fancy dress and glow sticks on Sunday, October 27th. ‘Fright Night Fever’ welcomes anyone over the age of 16 for a two-hour danceathon to raise funds for the Youth Zone.
On Halloween itself, Gravity Active has three exciting events lined up for Thursday, October 31st. The day begins with a Parent and Toddler bounce session from 9 am to 10 am, followed by a quieter Special Educational Needs (SEN) session, offering a relaxed Halloween-themed experience. The evening concludes with an over 5’s Halloween Party from 6 pm to 8 pm, ensuring a night full of spooky fun.
Visitors can round off the celebrations with trick-or-treating at Golden Square on Halloween day, from 10 am to 2 pm. With over 40 vendors participating, families can enjoy a safe and delightful trick-or-treating experience, collecting sweet treats from costumed vendors.
