Five Things to do in Warrington This Summer

Just in time for the summer holidays, Warrington has a packed list of things for the whole family to take part in. Enjoy the sunshine, get outdoors and join in the arts, culture and entertainment activities happening across the town. There is no shortage of events to fill up those empty days off.

Here are the highlights to look forward to:

  1. The Victoria Park Experience (VPX)

Every Wednesday in August free, family fun will take over Warrington between 11am and 4pm. Expect sports, creative workshops, live music and games for all ages. VPX is the best way to spend the summer holidays at no cost, to get the kids outside and having fun within the community.

  • Warrington Mela 2025

The leading outdoor, multi-cultural festival is back with a day of free street theatre, dance, music, food and colliding cultures. It will be spread across Palmyra Square and Time Square with giant puppets draped in Sari fabric. Head down on Sunday, August 31st to watch the beautiful celebration.

  • Warrington Youth Zone

All throughout the year, the youth zone hosts sessions for junior and senior members. Children can stay active and learn new skills with more than twenty activities happening every day. From film & multi-media to indoor rock-climbing young people can experience a healthy and happy summer.

  • Summer in Time Square

Every Thursday in August there will be family-friendly activities between 11am and 4pm. Including crazy golf, sports sessions, a mountain bike show, traditional rides, face paintings and interactive walkabouts. It’s guaranteed to stop any child saying “I’m bored” this school break. • Summer’s Bouncing at Golden Square

Inflatable fun is returning to Old Market Square this summer from Saturday, July 26th to Sunday, August 31st. It will be open daily from 10am – 5pm to keep the kids busy as they jump and giggle through the school holidays.
