A taste of what’s to come at Warrington Food & Drink Festival

The countdown is on. Warrington Food & Drink Festival is heading to Bank Park on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May, bringing two full days of great food, live music and family fun to the town centre.

This is the first event of its kind for Warrington – and with more than 80 food, drink and artisan stalls now confirmed, it’s already shaping up to be a weekend to remember.

There’ll be sizzling street food from the likes of Brisket Shack, Greek St Food, Pasta Ferrazza, LSB – Loaded Smashed Burgers and Chester’s Cocker-Tails, alongside sweet treats from Rossi’s Ices, Bea’s Bakes, Cheshire Cheesecakes, The Doughnuteers and Baked by Nicola. Visitors can also browse handmade goods and gifts from artisan producers including Riverside Spirits, Fudge & That, Make It Personal, Megan & Willow and Amie Jacobs Jewellery.

A live music stage will bring the atmosphere across both days, with picnic blankets encouraged and plenty of options for food and drink just steps away.

There’s also a full weekend of free demonstrations and workshops planned in the dedicated demo tent – with appearances from local producers and food personalities. Highlights include:

  • Claire Thomas from Cheese with Claire sharing her knowledge of local cheese heritage, flavour pairings and cheeseboards – including a live audience taste test of Cheshire vs Wensleydale.
  • Rob Leicester of Warrington Fruit & Veg, talking about the stories behind the award-winning greengrocers at the heart of the town.
  • A live pasta-making workshop with Pasta Ferrazza.
  • A cocktail session hosted by the team at Vandal Restaurant & Cocktail Bar.
  • A demonstration from Baked by Nicola, known for her luxury cakes and bakes.
  • An introduction to the tradition behind Preston’s Eggnog®.
  • And the return of Man vs Food, featuring Warrington’s very own sausage-eating competition.

For families, there’ll be free activities across both days, including circus skills workshops, balloon modelling, face painting and traditional fairground rides.

Warrington Food & Drink Festival is delivered by Warrington BID in partnership with Independent Street, supported by Warrington Borough Council and Culture Warrington. It’s part-funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund through the government’s Levelling Up programme.

With so much going on – and even more still to be announced – the festival is set to be a brilliant weekend in the park. Entry is completely free and the event will run from 10am to 7pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
