Choirmaster and TV star Gareth Malone to bring his new tour to Warrington

Choirmaster and TV star Gareth Malone will present his new show ‘Sing-Along-A-Gareth: 50 Years of Song’ to audiences at Parr Hall Warrington on Saturday, November 8th.

He aims to inspire audiences across the UK while celebrating the simple joy of singing together with an amazing live band, singers and local choirs.

Known for the BAFTA winning series The Choir, Gareth has been teaching the nation to sing from scratch for decades.

Since then, he has starred in multiple series, including The Choir: Military Wives, Sing While You Work and Naked Choir: Invictus Games.

He has had three number one records in the UK and is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Music. Also, he holds an honorary doctorate for the University of East Anglia, and in 2012, was made OBE in the Queen’s birthday honours for services to music.

Gareth said: “I’m thrilled to be hitting the road again with my fourth singalong tour. The audiences have been incredible, and these special evenings are my absolute highlights of the year. I can’t wait to get on stage and celebrate my 50th, and 50 incredible songs that are guaranteed to make you sing.”

The evening will explore some of the music that’s shaped Gareth’s life, with some tunes that you will recognise along the way dating from the ‘60s to today.

Get ready to dance and sing your heart out to the likes of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, Nina Simone’s Feeling Good, Whitney Houston’s The Greatest Love of All and Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off.

A spokesperson for the tour added: “Whether you’re out with friends, bringing the whole family, or wanting to experience the magic that Gareth creates as a choirmaster, Sing-Along-A-Gareth is the ultimate feel-good night out.

No experience needed, just a love of music and a willingness to join in. In a time where connection matters more than ever, this show is a reminder of how powerful, healing, and joyful singing together can be. You’ll leave smiling, humming, and feeling just that bit lighter.”
