At We are Warrington, we LOVE a good night out, and Dead Eyes Street Food and Cocktail Bar is one of our favourites. Based on Bridge Street, we’ve had many great nights there, including watching a fantastic Oasis cover band called Toast! The food is good, the drinks reasonably priced and delicious and they often have guest singers plus community events, and a late-night DJ at weekends, head to their Facebook page for all their latest news.
In Time Square, you’ll find real ale, fine wine and spirits specialists Costello’s, a spin-off from the successful Stockton Heath branch of the same name; they’re approaching their first birthday in the Town Centre in February 2023. They are often hosts to guest vocalists and bands and there’s a great atmosphere. If you’re looking for a fizz treat, they offer a bottle of prosecco for £11.95 after 5 pm in their Fizz Fridays, plus they have Midweek Wine Club Tuesday to Thursday where you buy two large glasses of wine and get the rest of the bottle for free, and we LOVE the idea of ‘Hoppy Monday’ which offers 30p off all pints of beer.
If you want a sports bar followed by cocktails followed by a proper dance, look no further than The Feathers. They host sports on their multiple screens, cocktails and drinks and a great weekend DJ, and don’t miss their 8pm Thursday Quiz where you can win a bar tab. We love to see a Warrington favourite for many years still going strong.
For gorgeous gastro-pub grub, The White Hart is the place to be. Offering fine ales, a varied cocktail collection and great wines, they currently have an offer on steak meals, if you buy any steak meal you get a free starter and desserts (subject to T&Cs). That’s THREE courses for the price of one and this menu is available Monday to Thursday all day. They also offer sumptuous afternoon tea (booking required) with sandwiches, cakes, tarts and seasonal favourites – this is definitely next on our to-do list.
On Cairo Street, head to Liquor Library for cool cocktails and independent craft beers, with a cool loft-style vibe, plus if you share their posts in January, you’ll get 10% off!
