Asylum Club Night: Emo Prom

Warrington’s iconic alternative club night, Asylum, has found a new home at Postern Gate and has announced its fourth annual ‘Emo Prom’.

For the first time, it won’t be at the former FC2 bar, but will still feature all the beloved traditions—slow dances, balloon drops, black rose giveaways, a yearbook to sign, and prom photos on arrival.

Founder and DJ Lee Harman says, “Emo Prom is something special at Asylum. It’s a chance to get dressed up, rock the eyeliner, and celebrate our favourite bands in a safe and fun space.”

Tickets for both events are £3 in advance and £4 on the door, with ‘Emo Prom’ likely to sell out.

Asylum, relaunched in July 2021, has recently featured special guest performances from bands like You Me At Six, Funeral For A Friend, and Sean Smith. The club night also offers festival giveaways, including for Download, Slam Dunk, and Bloodstock.
