Lunar New Year

On Sunday, February 15th Warrington town centre will mark the Lunar New Year to welcome the year of the horse.

From 10am until 4pm in Time Square, there will be a programme of cultural activities, performances and family friendly experiences in the town centre.

There will also be traditional stalls with arts and crafts, Chinese toys and gifts, and street food.

Classic Hong Kong carnival games will be available alongside cultural experiences such as Fai Chun, Chinese calligraphy writing, and fortune telling. Families can take part in children’s activities, including face painting and circus skills.

As well, a wishing tree will allow visitors to display their hopes and messages for the year ahead.

The celebrations have been organised by Warrington Hongkongers CIC with support from Warrington Council and Warrington Business Improvement District (BID).
