Pride in Warrington Exhibition
Explore Pride in Warrington at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery. This exhibition showcases the evolution of Pride flags, including the original 1978 Gilbert Baker design and Daniel Quasar’s Progress Pride flag. It features items on Transgender Day of Remembrance, LGBT marketing, Rainbow-washing, GAY Times, DIVA magazine, and the PINK Paper. Elsewhere in the Museum, discover Mandy Romero’s ‘TReasured’ project and a display of LGBT history infographic posters by Chester University students.
Warrington Pride 2024 returns to the town centre on 8 June, emphasizing diversity and community inclusion. Aligned with UK Pride Month and the Stonewall Riots anniversary, it celebrates LGBTQIA+ history and achievements while promoting inclusivity. The event features music, performances, workshops, a parade, and support resources. Join us for a day of events and celebration! More information here.
