Warrington Pride is back and bigger than ever, ready to paint the town rainbow and celebrate diversity and inclusion in our community.
Get ready for a day filled with excitement, entertainment and empowerment as we come together to honour love and acceptance for all.
Parade Details
This year’s parade will kick off at Time Square at 11:00am for speeches before winding its way through the streets and culminating at Golden Square at 12pm. If you’re planning to join us with a group, please ensure you’ve registered via our online form so we can plan accordingly. With over 250 attendees already confirmed, it’s shaping up to be an incredible turnout.
Daytime Lineup at Golden Square
TAGS (Teenagers, Gender & Sexuality) will be hosting a spectacular lineup at Golden Square, featuring a silent disco, dazzling drag acts, and the much-anticipated Glitter event!
Prepare to be mesmerised by performances from none other than Season 4 winner Danny Beard and the sensational Tia Kofi, recently crowned RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World winner. This event is predicted to be a sell-out sensation, so secure your tickets early!
Exciting Activities Across the Town
But the fun doesn’t stop there.
Livewire has planned an activity-packed day at Warrington Central Library from 11am to 2pm, offering everything from badge making to cake decorating. Meanwhile, the University of Chester will be hosting arts and crafts sessions and a speaker’s corner from 10am to 2pm at Time Square.
Time Square venues will be alive with live music and choir performances on the 8th and Warrington Market will host a special drag queen event on the 7th, adding to the festivities. Culture Warrington invites attendees to engage in meaningful conversations at a designated space between 10am and 2pm, along with the opportunity to participate in an immersive performance titled ‘I Put My Love in Your Hands’ by Rachael Pirie.
Youth-Focused Pride Celebrations
Warrington Youth Zone is gearing up for a Seniors Pride Party at WYZ on June 8th from 4-10pm, featuring live band and DJ performances, LGBTQIA+ themed activities, and more.
There will be a Rainbow party for the junior members (7-12 years old) on Saturday 8th June 11am-3pm and pride will be celebrated at the centre throughout the entire month of June.
Laughter and Love at the Pride at the Hive Comedy After Party
Prepare to laugh until your sides ache and your heart sings as Tank Bar & Live Lounge welcomes you to the Pride at the Hive Comedy After Party on Saturday, 8th June 2024.
