Living Well Warrington Highly Commended at Health Service Journal Awards

Living Well Warrington has been highly commended in the Integrated Care Initiative of the Year category at the 2025 Health Service Journal Awards.

The programme brings together Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Warrington Borough Council, Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, and local voluntary sector partners to transform how residents access health and wellbeing support.

With Warrington’s population around 210,000 and the number of residents aged 65 and over set to increase by 50% over the next 20 years, Living Well Warrington addresses growing demand for health and care services through innovative approaches.

The town centre Living Well Hub has welcomed more than 40,000 visitors, offering support from approximately 70 services, including dementia care, domestic abuse advice, baby weighing clinics, and weight management. The digital platform has received over 100,000 views since launching in March, and the network of Talking Points across Warrington has assisted more than 900 people in the past year.

The judges praised the programme for its work in preventing ill health, tackling inequalities, and meeting the needs of Warrington’s growing population through effective partnership working.

The recognition demonstrates the impact that collaboration between health services, the council, and local partners can have in making support easier to access and helping people stay well.
