Supporting Charities this Christmas

Warrington Foodbank

Christmas is all about giving, so this month after our 12-day Christmas Giveaway ended we visited Warrington Foodbank based in Golden Square where we donated a trolley full of food and toiletries that we bought from a local supermarket.

It’s great to see that a lot of people are supporting the foodbank this Christmas, with Skipton Building Society also lending a helping hand to the local charities! This month all of their individual branches donated £250 to their local foodbank.

Warrington Foodbank, which has a donation point located at Golden Square, is also collecting toys this year ready to deliver to local children to make sure that everyone gets a toy for Christmas this year.

craft in mind

Following the success of last year’s “Feed a Family at Christmas” appeal, Craft In Mind launched it again this year!  This year they know it’s been a struggle for many families and individuals. From people waiting for benefits to loss of jobs and just genuinely struggling to make ends meet.  Emma and the team are aiming to feed 200+ families in Warrington this Christmas with a good quality Christmas Dinner!

other charities

There are sooo many other ways you can help support local charities this festive season. Here are just a few ideas:

  • RESEARCH – visit the charities website and see what different fundraising activities they have got going on
  • ASK – this is the easiest way to know what the best way to support a charity is
  • ORGANISE – something fun with your workplace that everyone can get involved with!

We hope you have enjoyed this blog and wish you a wonderful Christmas!
