TEDxWarrington is returning in 2025 after a short break in 2024, with a brand-new theme and an exciting partnership with Warrington Youth Zone.
The event will take place on the evening of Tuesday, 2nd December 2025 at the Youth Zone’s venue on Dallam Lane in the heart of Warrington.
As part of its comeback, the team is introducing several new initiatives aimed at engaging young talent and expanding its impact across the local community, making this partnership particularly important.
Kirsty James, a local businesswoman in Warrington, secured the licence with TED once again, she said: “I’m over the moon to be bringing TEDxWarrington back for 2025 to give opportunity and profile to my hometown.”
This year’s theme, ‘Identity and Purpose’, will showcase speakers and performers exploring the topic in their own unique way.
Applications to speak or perform are now open! Make sure to get them in before 5pm, Thursday, 19th June 2025 for Core Applicants and 5pm, Thursday, 31st July for Young Applicants.

Another new change for 2025, is a dedicated Young Person’s category, as well as a Pitch Evening on Tuesday, 15th July, a chance for emerging voices to share their ideas in front of a live audience.
Since its launch, the Warrington event has featured 20 talks and several performances, some of which have been published on the official TEDx YouTube channel. One 2023 talk was even highlighted as an Editor’s Pick, reaching a global audience of over 40 million subscribers.
The global TEDx program enables independently organised events that bring people together to share powerful ideas in a TED-like format.
