The Tour of Britain, the UK’s most prestigious cycle race, will be racing along roads near you this September. Come and watch as the world’s best race from Alderley Park to Warrington on Thursday 9 September – it’s FREE to attend!
The stage will see over 100 of the world’s best riders tackle a 152-kilometre (95-mile) route from the world-leading science, innovation and stylish living venue Alderley Park to Warrington town centre. The course takes in the beautiful Cheshire countryside heading via Holmes Chapel, Congleton, Macclesfield, Wilmslow and Knutsford, taking in famous landmarks and challenging climbs in the Cheshire Peak District before heading into Warrington, travelling over both the Manchester Ship Canal and the River Mersey, before finishing in front of the iconic Grade II listed Golden Gates.
