How it works
Warrington Mela brings people of all ages and backgrounds together to enjoy music, dance, food, arts and traditions from cultures across the world.
It has become a fantastic addition to Warrington’s events calendar and another reason to head into the town centre, enjoy everything happening in Queens Gardens and make a day of it by visiting Warrington’s shops, cafés, bars and restaurants while you’re here.
Warrington Borough Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Communities, Culture and Leisure, Cllr Jean Flaherty, said:
“Warrington Mela continues to demonstrate how cultural events can bring people together, foster community resilience and celebrate the rich diversity of the borough, thanks to the support of external funding, sponsors and partners.
Everyone is welcome to attend. The programme has been designed to encourage conversation, shared experiences and greater understanding between communities through music, food, arts, performances and family-friendly activities.
Warrington Mela is one of the highlights of our cultural calendar and an event we are really proud of. It’s not only a huge celebration of culture, it also strengthens our community, fosters togetherness and showcases the very best of who we are.”
Queens Gardens will be filled with entertainment throughout the day, with a mix of community and professional performers taking to the stage and Dolly and Rocky joining the celebrations.

The full programme is still to come, with even more performances, entertainment and activities set to be announced ahead of the event.
Warrington Mela is funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), with further funding and in-kind contributions from sponsors and community partners including Culture Warrington, Warrington BID, Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner’s Safer Communities Fund, the Hoover Foundation, Cheshire Language Academy and Warrington Chamber Plus.
