Warrington Music Festival is back this May

The Warrington Music Festival is set to return on Saturday, 31 May, from 12pm to 11pm, offering a free, open-air celebration of emerging local talent. Taking place across two stages at Golden Square’s Old Market Place and Time Square, the event will showcase almost 30 new bands and artists.

The Golden Square stage will feature indie rock performances, while Time Square will present a broader range of genres to appeal to a wider audience. Notable acts include The Twenty Two, Freight, Belmont & The Stocks, Uno Mas, and Pray for Mojo.

Parlours, rising stars from Warrington, will headline the Golden Square stage, while Olivia Booth, a singer-songwriter supported by BBC Introducing, will headline Time Square. The full Time Square line up will be announced soon.

Organised by Score Creative, Culture Warrington, We Are Warrington, Plugged In and Golden Square shopping centre, the festival continues its mission to support local talent and provide a platform for the next generation of musicians.

Since its launch in 2007, the festival has helped launch the careers of bands like Winachi and Slydigs, who have gone on to achieve national and international success.

The festival promises a day of live music and community celebration, all completely free to attend.

The festival is part of Warrington Music Month, a month-long celebration that will bring live music to stages, squares and open spaces across the town throughout May. Led by Warrington BID and supported by venues across Warrington, Music Month highlights the very best of the local scene.
