The much-anticipated Warrington Youth Awards 2024 are here once again to celebrate the exceptional young people in our town who have made significant contributions to their communities.
Hosted and organised by Warrington Youth Zone, these awards honour the inspiring efforts of Warrington’s youth and residents of Warrington are now being asked to take part in this celebration by casting their votes.
The charity is also encouraging all schools and local clubs in the town to actively participate in the voting process and support their outstanding young members. This is a wonderful opportunity to shine a light on the incredible efforts and positive changes our youth have brought to the community.
Whether it’s through service, leadership, sports, arts or other endeavours, these awards highlight the positive impact our youth have on Warrington.
This year’s event will feature several categories that recognise the talents and contributions of young people in our community.
The Young Sports Person of the Year award acknowledges outstanding athletic performance, sportsmanship, leadership and positive impact on peers and the community through sports. The Young Person Positive Community Contribution award highlights those with a strong commitment to community service and volunteerism, showcasing initiatives that have made a significant difference in the community.
The Young Person Outstanding Arts award celebrates creativity and innovation in artistic expression, while the Young Person’s Performing Arts award acknowledges exceptional talent in music, dance, theatre and other performing arts disciplines. Additionally, the Young Entrepreneur Award recognises young individuals who have demonstrated innovation and success in business ventures, contributing to the local economy and community.
The Volunteer Award acknowledges dedication to community service and the impactful outcomes of volunteer activities. The Personal Journey Award is given to those who have overcome personal challenges, shown resilience and inspired others through their journey.
The Digital Award celebrates innovation in digital technology and media, recognising projects that have positively impacted the community. The Emotional Health & Wellbeing Award is for advocates for mental health awareness and support, while the Literary Award acknowledges excellence in writing and storytelling.
Finally, the Warringtonian of the Year Award is for individuals who have made a positive impact on the Warrington community through leadership, service and contributions to its development.
