WARRINGTON PRIDE 2024:

CELEBRATING DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

We’re delighted to announce the return of Warrington Pride to the town centre this June, with a renewed focus on diversity and community inclusion.

Following the success of last year’s event, Warrington Pride 2024 will take place on Saturday, June 8th, as part of Pride Month.

Supported by Golden Square, Warrington Borough Council, Warrington BID, Warrington Market, Culture Warrington, Warrington Youth Zone, University of Chester, LiveWire, HC Promotions and United Utilities.

Join us for a day filled with exciting events, thought-provoking talks, performances and creative showcases.

Warrington Pride 2024 will feature live music, performances, workshops, and a vibrant parade through the town streets. The event will also host a variety of vendors and community organisations providing resources and support for LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies.

UK Pride Month holds special significance, coinciding with the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, a pivotal moment in LGBTQIA+ history. Through events like Warrington Pride, we commemorate this legacy while celebrating diversity, promoting inclusivity, and honouring our community’s history and achievements.

As part of our Pride celebrations, we are partnering with Peace & Mind UK, a non profit organisation created by Esther Ghey in memory of her daughter Brianna, who tragically lost her life in a senseless act of violence in February 2023.

Peace & Mind’s overarching goal is to plant seeds of resilience, empathy, and unity within our societies. Through education and community, they hope to empower people and break down societal barriers, creating a happier and more peaceful society.

Peace & Mind UK hopes to achieve this through current nationwide campaigns, alongside community-based activities for young people and families.

Launched on September 15th, 2023, the Peace & Mind Campaign aims to get mindfulness training—delivered by Mindfulness in Schools Project – in all schools, starting in Brianna’s hometown of Warrington, with the hope of spreading across England. Mindfulness can improve mental health and provide people with tools that build mental resilience, empathy, and compassion.

We want you to help us support this incredible initiative so this project can be delivered in every school across the UK.
