Arts charity Culture Warrington and Golden Square shopping centre’s Sky Garden is celebrating after receiving a cash boost of £20,000, which will allow it to enhance its offer and host more events in 2026 and beyond.
From the seed of an idea, to launching in summer 2022, to becoming a blooming success story, the Sky Garden project has been awarded money from the National Lottery Community Fund and recognised for the way it connects people with nature in the heart of Warrington.

In addition to more homes for wildlife, new plants, and more fresh produce grown for the community, the grant will fund a free ‘green wellbeing’ course for adults later this year, as well as open-air family events in summer.
Tree Fest in July will feature family theatre performances, face painting, large-scale forest puppets, woodcraft demos and collective art displays, while Animal Antics in August will give youngsters the chance to meet farm animals and take part in craft activities.
