‘A history of Daresbury Laboratory’ with guest speaker Alan Brown, will tell the story of how the laboratory, since its inception in 1962 has pushed the boundaries of modern science, to become internationally recognised for world-leading scientific excellence in a range of fields, from nuclear physics to supercomputing. It takes place on Friday 31 March, 9.30am to 11am, at Warrington Town Hall, with tickets costing £10.95, which includes a breakfast barm with tea or coffee.
