The second Warrington Food & Drink Festival is almost here. Taking place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May in Bank Park and the grounds of Warrington Town Hall, the free weekend event is shaping up to be bigger and better than last year, which brought thousands of visitors into the town centre.
Organised by Warrington BID working alongside Independent Street, Warrington Borough Council and Culture Warrington, this year’s festival brings together around 80 traders, live demonstrations, workshops and entertainment across both days.
Food and drink runs through the whole weekend with street food, artisan produce, independent makers, cocktail demonstrations, sourdough sessions, and Cheshire cheese tastings all featured. Alongside that, there’s a packed entertainment programme with live music throughout Saturday and Sunday.

For families, there are exciting activities for all ages, including circus skills, balloon modelling, face painting and a small fairground. Organisers are encouraging people to make a full day of it in the town centre.
Andrea Morley, BID Project Manager at Warrington BID, said: “You can really feel the excitement building ahead of the festival returning to Warrington town centre.
“One of the biggest things we wanted to build on this year was the overall visitor experience and making sure there is something for people of all ages across the whole weekend.
“Last year people stayed much longer than expected because there was so much happening across the site and around the town centre, and we’re expecting another fantastic atmosphere again this year.”

This year’s festival is sponsored by Kids Planet – one of the UK’s largest nursery groups, originally founded in Cheshire – which is supporting the family activity areas on site, including spaces for parents with babies and dedicated changing facilities stocked with products from their partner, Kit & Kin.
