Register to be part of the parade

We’re delighted to announce the return of Warrington Pride to the town centre this June, with a renewed focus on diversity and community inclusion. We’re on the lookout for individuals and groups to be part of this years parade, register your interest below.

Please note, submission of this form does not guarantee a place in the parade. There is a limit to the parade capacity, and the safety of participants and our audience will always come first.

**Parade Code of Conduct

The parade is an activity aimed at celebrating diversity and inclusivity across Warrington and acts as a safe activity for all to be involved in.

Our code of conduct is designed to ensure that Warrington Pride 2024 is safe and inclusive for everyone. As we celebrate together there is a standard of behaviour that is expected from all parade groups and participant. All groups and individuals applying to take part in the parade must agree to and abide by the code of conduct as a condition of participation.

Threatening and/or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated at any of the Warrington Pride activities. If you have concerns, the parade route will have trained marshals along the route who will be able to support you. 

The Code of Conduct applies equally to everyone in the parade. Failure to comply with the terms of the Code of Conduct could mean you are asked to leave the parade and it could affect your future involvement in Warrington Pride activity. 

The Code of Conduct:

  • Pride celebrates diversity and will not tolerate any individual or group engaged in offensive behaviour, or any signage targeting another individual’s:
    • Sexuality
    • Gender
    • Gender identity
    • Race
    • Age
    • Nationality
    • Disability
    • Appearance
    • Religion
    • any other protected characteristic.
  • Warrington Pride will not tolerate any form of abusive or threatening behaviour towards volunteers, staff, performers/facilitators, service providers, stall holders or any member of the public.
  • Anybody who is found to be harassing or infringing on the bodily integrity of other participants will be asked to exit the event space and will be reported to the police.
  • No form of illegal substance will be permitted for consumption within any of the event footprint. If found to be consuming, you will be asked to leave the event space and it will be reported to the police.
  • Warrington Pride kindly request that everybody act responsibly and according to the law with regard to alcohol consumption across the event site.
  • Any volunteer, staff member, volunteer, participant of the parade or other service provider who is deemed aggressive, incapacitated, threating to themselves of others, or unable to complete their role safely due to intoxication, will not be permitted to partake in any of the day’s activities.
  • Nudity, obscenity, indecent exposure or sexual acts in public by parade participants, volunteers, staff, stall holders or any member of the public will not be tolerated and perpetrators will be asked to leave the event site. They will not be allowed to partake in any Warrington Pride activity.  As a guidance, ‘swimsuit coverage’ is the minimum requirement.
  • We want to protect our environment and request the following
    • Only Biodegradable glitter to be used;
    • No smoke, paint, or glitter bombs;
    • No stickers or single use handouts;
    • No releasing of balloons.
  • You are collectively responsible for the behaviour of your group/organisation.
  • If you see or are notified of any incident that would break the code of conduct, please notify a marshal or member of the Police immediately.

Failure to abide by the code of conduct: 

Warrington Pride reserves the right to remove any group or person(s) from the parade if it is deemed to be offensive, puts spectators or other participants at risk of physical harm, violates the code of conduct, or is a hinderance to the progress of the parade.
